This year’s theme for our church district conference was named ” Focus on Jesus.” It was a weekend filled with lots of love and understanding. I got to take the kids, and they also had a wonderful time because they got to experience their fun and studies in the dorms provided for them. During this amazing weekend, I met a woman who shared her story with me. She had lost her beloved baby in her backyard pool. She teared up as she went on saying “It only took seconds and I found my baby drowned in the pool.” How horrific that must’ve been for her. The pain she had to carry… I held my tears back as I listened to her. This is life. Anything can happen in a matter of seconds. Good or bad. I never thought I was going to be in the situation I am in now either. Hitting rock bottom from being at the highest place. However, God is good. He always is. What this lady and I share in common is our willing hearts. We both know that focusing on Jesus is the most important thing, even in the hardest times.
